-Photo contest: 124 Frozen Photos of Ice. Here you will find amazing photos. Some very wierd but also inspiring.
-Voyeuristic Blogger Portraits Put Faces to URLs. Gabriela Herman’s photos are thoughtful, deep and compelling. They have this drama, where we get ourselfs lost and think about what is happening there. I really enjoy her work.
-Pinkel-Polizistin “Petra”. Auf Deutsch, aber auch Wichtig. But I will vent out my opinion in English for now. First of all, I find the artwork much more compelling that most modern art. It illustrates a peeing female police officer. In my humble opinion, it just brings out a human face to our police force, and in no means lowers my respect for the figure of authority. I don’t find it offensive to women, in any case. And as for the question: “Why not a peeing man, then?“, I can only state the obvious position of our male dominated society and how much more thoughtful / provocative it is to use the female view of this daily activity that undoubtedly our forces of the law (man and women alike) have to face. In any case it is a much better work of art than the crucifix immerse in urine. But neither of them I would put in my house.
And now to loosen up, here is the best Timelapses I have ever seen. Congratulations to Josh Owens.
Just a while ago I spoke of houses… and here are some dream ones:
The first picture from the left is Villa Amanzi.com in Phuket, Tailand. But see the video here to know how good it really is.
The second one is made of wood, steel, and glass, glass, and more glass, the Fish House is an environmentally-friendly waterfront home in Singapore.
The third house is called the Tangga House is built around a central courtyard, with the borderless pool surrounding two sides of the house and a garden growing on its roof. I don’t know how much this will cost to maintain, but I wish I had the money to pay for it.
